Service Centre Advisor (Library)

GLL is looking for a Full time or a Part time Service Centre Advisor based at the Greenwich Centre in Greenwich, South East London. This is a multi million pound, purpose built facility, located within the Greenwich Square development Centre incorporating both leisure and library facilities.

As a Service Centre Advisor you will work in both the state of the art library and the leisure reception area. The library provides a full range of services including public PC's, extensive book stock, children's and teen zones, quiet study and an activities programme to suit all ages from children's story times to silver surfer IT classes. We are looking for individuals keen and able to take on new responsibilities. Whether you have a background in libraries, leisure or other areas we will provide the training to enable you to make a difference in all aspect of the role.

You'll enjoy making a difference to every person who walks through our doors - be it with your warm welcome, finding them books and information, helping them access our public IT services, and assisting with library activities for children and adults. Often a customer's first port of call, you'll answer the phone, deal with transactions, handle queries and even go out into the community on outreach projects - all with a smile on your face and our support behind you. From providing team support to the warmest of welcomes, your focus will be on ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Good IT, literacy, numerical and communication skills are vital for this customer service role - combined with the ability to quickly get up to speed on our services and systems. We're also looking for a Service Centre Advisor with experience of finding information and cash handling as well as a can-do attitude that shines through all you do. Thriving in a team and learning new skills, you'll confidently deal with customers with tact and sensitivity too.
