Environmental Protection Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and motivated individual to join us within the council’s Licensing and Environmental Protection Team within the Regulation and Enforcement Service

North East Lincolnshire has easy access to the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and excellent affordable housing. We have one of the best stretches of coastline in the country, centred on the seaside resort of Cleethorpes and thriving towns of Grimsby and Immingham. As our Environmental Protection Officer, you will work as part of the team to provide an operational role to enforce relevant environmental legislation pertaining to the protection of air, land, controlled waters and drinking water standards.

The team will also receive and investigate complaints and service requests relating to domestic noise and commercial statutory nuisance through monitoring, enforcing and education.

You will have detailed specialist knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks relevant to commercial statutory nuisance or domestic noise as you will be expected to play a key role in the implementation and delivery of a new residential noise service being introduced by the team. 

You will be supported in your role by the Senior Environmental Protection Officer and the Licensing and Environmental Protection Manager. 

You will hold Diploma/HND in a relevant environmental discipline i.e. air, land or water, or equivalent knowledge skills and experience and be committed to your continuous personal and professional development

Interviews will be held w/c 14th October and will consist of a formal interview and a presentation. Closing date 6th October
