Managing Director of Apprenticeship Works

Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m.  The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher education and job centre plus clients. The College trains circa 850 apprentices, including circa 110 higher level apprenticeships and delivers work place training, traineeships and higher level technical and professional specialisms in our strategic vocational areas; Construction, Engineering, Creative, Digital and IT; Health & Social Care, Leadership and Management. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional leader! As the Managing Director of Apprenticeship Works (a subsidiary company of BDC), you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and direction of the college’s engagement strategy.

You will drive and lead the performance of Apprenticeship Works and manage its business operations, ensuring that defined outcomes are achieved.

Partnership and collaborative working, both internally and externally with stakeholders and a broad spectrum of clients will be key in ensuring that we achieve high quality work based training, significant growth and commerciality.

•           Have proven management and leadership skills at a senior level – both strategic and operational
