The service provides long term support to our residents and their families providing exceptional care and support to our service users. A person centered approach is taken to ensure privacy, dignity and choice for our services users.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person who will have a sensitive approach to the needs of the residents and who will work closely with the existing staff to ensure that high standards of food provision are maintained.
The position involves the planning, purchasing and preparation of nutritionally balanced and appetising meals for the children and staff. You will also be required to serve the meals and clear away and ensure that the kitchen facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness to meets the requirements of the food hygiene guidelines.
Both of these roles are on a permanent, part time basis for 28 hours a week.
You will ideally have a Food Safety level 2 certificate or above, and/or a relevant catering qualification. You will have experience of working in a commercial/residential kitchen. You will plan, prepare and cook to meet multiple dietary requirements and provisions.
You will be responsible for Health & Safety/Food Safety and hygiene in the kitchen. You will undertake inventory control, rota's and supervise staff when appropriate.
