Park Keeper

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the grounds maintenance team to work at the centre of a dynamic organisation with an ambitious agenda. The successful candidates will be required to carry out grounds maintenance tasks around the district helping to achieve our key objectives.

You will be required to ensure vehicles, plants and equipment are maintained correctly and carry out all gardening functions in order to ensure the council’s standards are achieved and maintained at all times. The functions include site preparation and landscaping, burials preparation, maintenance to grassed areas, hedges, flower beds, shrub and rose beds.

We require individuals with sound knowledge and experience in horticulture and all elements of grounds maintenance machinery operation. Candidates should be competent in carrying out maintenance machinery checks and hold a full UK driving licence preferably with B+E entitlement.

All PPE, training and equipment will be provided for the right candidate.

The successfull applicant will be required to work early and late 12 hour shifts based on a four day on four day off rota, this will also include weekend working and lone working.
