An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Duty Team in the role of Approved Mental Health Professional.


The successful candidate will have a demonstrable level of practice and continued professional development within the standards of conduct, performance and ethics as described by the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC), ensuring compliance with legal, organisational and multi-agency requirements. Have the ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, carrying out assessments on a statutory and non-statutory basis of people who may experience a severe and enduring mental health need, taking into account the wishes of the patient, relatives, carers and other involved professionals.


In addition the successful candidate will be required to undertake child protection and adult protection work and will access training for this purpose.


The successful candidate must have the ability to be flexible to work any weekends and some night shifts as and when required to cover for permanent staff.
