This is an exciting opportunity to join an existing team of Maintenance Specialists receiving calls from Council tenants, interpreting their housing maintenance and repair needs, and liaising with contractors to arrange for works to be carried out. The role also includes supporting the surveyors in the day to day management of contracts, attending contract meetings, processing data into the council IT systems such as Northgate and Keystone, administering contracts and assisting in the monitoring of progress and customer satisfaction. Whilst there are some elements of administration involved such as raising work orders, managing invoices and tracking payments this is not an admin role. In addition to the customer support and administrative elements of this role, you will be supported in developing an understanding of routine repairs and maintenance of homes and the ability to deal with customers, sometimes in difficult circumstances. The higher salary level is subject to taking on additional responsibilities or a higher level of capability demonstrated by a CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Maintenance or equivalent experience.
