Neighbourhood Services, which provides a high proportion of front line services for Spelthorne Borough Council, including refuse collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance, are advertising for a Law Enforcement Officer to work at Laleham Nursery.
Working within our busy Neighbourhood Services office, you will be responsible for contributing to the Council’s legal responsibility and duty under the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 and you will work in partnership with agencies including the police to prevent crime & disorder within the borough.
Duties include supervising and monitoring contractors and staff working within Neighbourhood Services. You will take ownership of an area of the borough and deal with Council related issues that arise and be proactive in helping to raise the standards of Neighbourhood Services service delivery. You will enforce all relevant Acts of Parliament and Council By Laws by means of powers provided under the CSAS scheme, including the issuing of fixed penalty notices.
It is essential that you have a full manual driving licence and are IT literate with good interpersonal and organisational skills. This post is subject to a full police vetting and the successful candidate will be required to undertake and pass a Community Safety Accreditation Scheme.
