Role Purpose

The team manages and delivers on award winningprojects and has a robust Air Quality monitoring and management profile.

ThePollution Team is based within the Environmental Health and TradingStandards Service and is able to draw on resources and expertise acrossthe Service.

The post holderwill assist us in developing our strategies in dealing with airquality, project management, regulatory and enforcement activities.

Weare able to offer a 35 hour week, flexible working, structured trainingopportunities (CPD), excellent salaries an additional car user/travelallowance, advisory and enforcement work and a minimum of 6 weeks paid leave ayear

Key Responsibilities

Thesuccessful candidate will have a good understanding of the key pollutantswithin an inner city environment and will be able to come up and developstrategies to reduce the effects of those pollutants using the full range ofEnvironmental Health powers and legislation.

They mustcritically be able to review planning applications to ensure that environmentalimpacts are mitigated.

They will beworking in a multi-skilled team dealing with air quality projects, contaminatedland, permitted processes, investigating complaints, dealing with planningapplications.


The successful applicant will have a backgroundin environmental analysis, majoring on air quality and a good understanding ofregional strategies
