Social Worker (CTPLD)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Social Worker to the Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD) in North Somerset. The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis based in Clevedon and supporting the surrounding areas.


We are seeking applicants who hold a Social Work Qualification with experience of working with Adults - preferably within a community setting.  Applicants need to be registered with HCPC, ideally with experience in Care Management (Assessment and Review), Safeguarding Adults and Mental Capacity Act processes.


This is an exciting and challenging time for Adult Care Services, where integration is key to meeting the aspirations of people with a learning disability. The CTPLD is a multi-disciplinary team whose members include Reviewing Officers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Community Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and the Intensive Support Team.


We are supportive of the need for ongoing CPD as well as offering annual leave provision of 26 days per annum pro rata with this rising to 31 days per annum pro rata after 5 years of continuous service.


This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
