Are you passionate about parks and open spaces and looking for a job which offers the opportunity to progress into supervisory management within Grounds Maintenance?
If so, we are seeking a team leader to manage the small Open Spaces and Allotments team. Your job will be to ensure that the Council’s open spaces and allotments are properly maintained and managed. This role provides lots of variety -meeting contractors or leading a party of volunteers, doing site inspections, organising repairs, supervising and developing your staff or dealing with correspondence.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the qualities required of a team leader, have knowledge of a range of grounds maintenance operations and are willing to learn about grounds maintenance contracting. You must be able to liaise positively with a range of stakeholders, including the public, colleagues and Councillors and be able to deal professionally and promptly with any escalated issues.
If you are self-motivated, able to prioritise your own work and that of the team, have an eye for detail and would enjoy working indoors and out, this could be the job for you.
