SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Officer (Full-Time)

A SEND Officer is required to work within the SEND Team.


The team is responsible for ensuring that the LA’s statutory responsibilities towards individual children and young people with SEND are met.  We are a busy team and deal with sensitive, and at times, difficult decisions.


The successful candidates will need to have good organisational and interpersonal skills, have experience of similar work within a public service and will need to be able to travel within North Somerset and further afield to support out of area placements. An understanding of the SEND Code of Practice 2015 is required.


This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
