Environmental Health Officer (Commercial)

We are looking to recruit a motivated Environmental Health Officer (30 hours per week). Based at Saffron Walden your duties will include food hygiene and safety, health & safety interventions and infectious disease control. There may also be the opportunity to become involved in duties relating to the control of imported food at Stansted Airport.

To apply for this role, you must hold a Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health, be EHRB registered and meet competencies relating to the inspection of both food establishments and food as specified by Food Law Code of Practice. You must also, have excellent communication skills, have a flexible approach and work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative. A full driving licence and access to a car available for work is essential. There may be a requirement for some out of hours working.

Good IT skills and having a working knowledge of Uniform, DMS and Enterprise would be a distinct advantage.
