This post is required to cover for maternity leave for six months.
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that the work programme isfulfilled in relation to private sector housing regulation.
The postholder will liaise with internal and external parties to ensurethat a holistic approach is taken with regards to Housing regulationwithin its broadest sense across all work programmes.
Thesuccessful candidate will also assist with the mentoring of other staff acrossthe Service. Key Responsibilities
Along with three Principal Officers deliver on the agreed service priorities, ensuring that the currentdesignated licensing schemes are managed effectively and thatlandlords that fail to maintain standards are held to account.
The Team also respondto service requests and mange the Councils Travellers site.
It is estimated that just under 40%of all the housing stock in the Borough is in the private rented sector. TheTeam meets the challenges that it needs to face and the Team Leader needsto be able to direct the Team and give advice to internal andexternal stakeholders on the best strategies to manage the private rentedstock.
The successful candidate will needto be able to take decisive action to improve housing conditionswithin the BoroughRequirements
Thesuccessful individual will be an Environmental Health Practitioner registeredwith in Chartered Institute of Environmental ( or equivalent) and haveextensive experience across Environmental Health, as amanager.
