Clerk to the Governing Body

We are looking for an organised, committed individual to join us as a part-time clerk to the governing body at Holly Spring Primary School.

If you have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, can manage information effectively and are able to build strong working relationships then this could be the role for you.

Holly Spring Primary School is a newly amalgamated school with strong links to the local community. Both the Senior Leadership Team of the school and the Governing Body are committed to continual improvement and high-quality governance.

What the role involves:

You will be required to advise on governance, constitutional and procedural matters as well as prepare agendas and papers, attend meetings and produce accurate minutes. You will need to effectively liaise with both the Co-Chairs of the Governing Body and the Headteacher, ensuring communication takes place in a timely manner. There will be ongoing training and development to undertake as part of the role.

We’re looking for someone with:

 · strong organisational, administrative and communication skills

· the ability to prioritise workload and to work on own initiative

· the ability to maintain confidentiality and act in the interests of the school at all times

Training and support will be provided.

Location: Home-based, plus attendance at evening meetings at school.
