Housing Support & Resettlement Officer

Bromley Housing Needs Division has an exciting opportunity for a Support & Resettlement Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team. Support and Resettlement officers play a vital role delivering homeless prevention and housing related floating support services to a diverse range of vulnerable clients. Most of your work will take place outside of the office environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an empathetic, customer driven individual non-judgemental able to remain calm under pressure. You will provide support throughout the housing process in obtaining and settling into suitable independent tenancies or appropriate designated supported schemes for vulnerable clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to make a significant contribution to Housing Support and Resettlement Team: you will be a team player who can demonstrate self-motivation and flexibility. The ability to work to tight timescales/deadlines is essential for this role. The role will sometimes require working outside normal office hours. Knowledge of computers and good communication skills is required. You will complete resettlement support plans with clients ensuring their empowerment rather than creating a dependency to ensure tenancy sustainment.
