As a Caretaker you will play an active role in maintaining the grounds and communal areas of Catalyst properties, ensuring they remain well presented, clean, safe and secure of. You will be responsible for the upkeep of all communal areas and assist the Housing Officers with general housing management of the estates.
You’ll work closely with other caretakers, contractors and office staff to provide relief cover on sites and when requested. You will provide a service that promotes the welfare of the residents, in particular those who are frail or vulnerable. In addition to this, you’ll ensure that issues concerning residents and the sites in general are reported to appropriate person making sure that the principles of confidentiality are adhered to at all the times. You will carry out all duties in line with Health and Safety policy and procedures. You will maintain and advise Management when any equipment requires repair or renewal and also when new materials are required.
You will have previous experience in a customer facing role and have knowledge of cleaning, gardening and general property maintenance. Knowledge of COSHH regulations and multi trade or a good trade experience to undertake repair works would be useful but not essential.
