HR Manager – 1 year fixed term contract
3 days per week, 1 year maternity cover
SO1 -Term Time only, points 23-25 (£29,766- £30,708 before pro-rata)

We are looking to recruit an innovative, highly-skilled, motivated and experienced HR Manager who can undertake a broad range of human resources related duties within the school. The post holder must be a confident professional working closely with the senior management team to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient HR Advisory service delivering in line with best practice and up- to-date employment legislation.
The post holder will need to work on their own initiative within a busy environment, have excellent organisational and ICT skills, and be able to advise the Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Body on HR matters. The ideal candidate will have a background in school /educational Human Resources with demonstrable experience of managing HR. Experience of working with SIMs or a similar MIS package would be advantageous.
Purpose of the job:
- To provide timely advice on HR issues and manage a varied employee relations case load, ensuring compliance with legislation and HR policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for reviewing and improving the HR operating model within the school.
- Be able to design tools and templates to support staff in undertaking different HR activities as well as relevant training.
- Be the key point of contact for the Head teacher and school for any HR queries, including contracts, terms and conditions, payroll, HR policies and entitlements.
- Manage all sickness and absence procedures
