Care and Repair Elmbridge (CARE) Caseworker

Care and Repair Elmbridge (CARE) Caseworker

1-year fixed term (we are open to discussing part-time working / job share as part of this role)

£24,861 - £26,817 per annum

Our Care and Repair team is a lifeline for many older and vulnerable residents of Elmbridge and we need a case worker to support the team.

Our Care and Repair team provides a home improvement service to our residents including home assessments and support with grant applications.  As a caseworker, you will work with our customers from initial enquiry through to completion of the work, creating a positive experience for our customers as we strive to support them in their own homes. You will be responsible for providing advice and support to our elderly, disabled and vulnerable residents who want the appropriate improvements and adaptions to their homes to allow them to live independently.

About you

You will be an organised, practical person with the ability to manage competing workloads. Your customer service and empathy will shine through as you take our customers through the process from start to finish. You will have the ability to communicate, manage expectations, remove any blockers, work with partner agencies and access available funding, all to ensure our customers receive the best service.

  • Wellbeing: When you thrive Elmbridge thrives, which is why we have developed a strong and varied wellbeing programme for our employees, from mindfulness to healthy walks – the options are there for you.
  • Learning and development: We all know learning doesn’t stop when you leave university, it is an ongoing journey and we will support you on that journey by creating a bespoke learning and development plan.
  • Flexibility: With our commitment to flexible working, you will be able to find work / life balance. For this role we are open to any conversation regarding part-time working.
