More Information

L&OD Practitioner

If you are values driven, passionate about inclusion and developing individuals and teams to maximise performance and potential, join Optivo as an L&OD Practitioner.

One of the largest housing providers in the UK, Optivo is also a member of the G15 group of London’s biggest housing associations. Currently, we’ve over 45,000 homes across London, the South East and the Midlands, giving 90,000 people somewhere affordable to call their own. And, we’re still growing. Indeed, with a target of 1,500 homes in development every year, there’s never been a better time to join us.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work on the identification of learning and organisational development needs across Optivo and drive the development of learning activities to support individual, team and organisational needs; and engage with all areas of the business. Working closely with the wider People team, you’ll design and deliver comprehensive L&OD interventions, activities and training, offering a blended approach.

You’ll also support and manage the delivery of engaging virtual learning activities at all levels and ensure effective evaluation takes place.

What you’ll need

A strong influencer and relationship builder, you’ll be experienced in working with colleagues at all levels and working collaboratively with external providers on commissioning / tendering and contract management activity.

You’ll have significant experience of designing and delivering a wide range of learning activity including bespoke and digital programmes. Ideally, you will be CIPD qualified or have an equivalent L&OD related specialist qualification and be a competent user of the Microsoft Office suite of applications with excellent report writing skills.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll enjoy a great salary and benefits package, including 27 days (rising to 30 days) plus bank holidays, and a day off for your birthday. You can also buy and sell leave up to 5 days. We have generous pension and life assurance schemes too, plus a cycle to work scheme and travel loans. Add in a healthcare cash plan covering dental, glasses, physiotherapy, flu (and other) vaccinations and 24 hour GP and more, plus Childcare vouchers and various high street discounts, (not to mention flexible working and in house career development opportunities) and we think you’ll agree that Optivo is a great place to work.
