About you:

This is a great opportunity for an adaptable professional with functional knowledge of key business processes, an ability to challenge, question and analyse, and a confident approach to developing new ideas. You will have great people skills to be able to work with partners and stakeholders to drive forward the Council’s ambitions.

Job Profile:

You will be responsible for playing a key role in articulating the Councils priority outcomes through facilitating service planning, strategy development, strategic partnerships, grants and events across the Council’s services.

You will also support the Senior Policy Officer to coordinate and deliver corporate partnerships including Community Safety, Safeguarding and our Military Covenant.

You will be expected to perform at level 3 accountability in the attached role profile.

Job purpose:

To articulate the Council’s priorities, develop strategies to deliver these priorities and communicate them effectively to key stakeholders. Owning the corporate approach to service planning, strategy, partnerships, grants and events.

Skill and experience required:

  • highly developed working knowledge of strategic planning, corporate planning, business planning or policy development
  • information analysis
  • presentation and communication of complex information
  • stakeholder, partnership and relationship management
  • preparing and writing reports
  • strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • good organisation and administration skills and experience
