Street Scene Enforcement & Education Officers

Castle Point Borough Council is seeking to recruit two Enforcement & Education Officers within our busy Street Scene Team.  The vacancies are one full time post 37 hours per week and one part time post 22.5 hours per week.  

E&CS008 Full Time, 37 hours per week (5 days to be spread across 7 day week)

E&CS009 Part Time, 22.5 hours per week (working hours are to support the full time post outside of normal working hours)


The successful candidates will be responsible for proactively undertaking enforcement and education in relation to Environmental Crime, such as littering, dog fouling, dog control, fly tipping etc. This is an ideal post for those with previous enforcement experience, experience in educational activities or awareness raising and those who have dealt with members of the public in potentially confrontational situations before.


If you are assertive with good interpersonal and negotiation skills, have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution, and have at least 5 GCSEs (including English) Grade A to C or equivalent, we would like to hear from you.


The successful candidates will be required to work a number of early mornings, evenings and weekends to ensure the Council is able to proactively undertake enforcement and education in relation to Environmental Crime
