About our work and values
Are you interested in supporting the growth of an awarding-winning social enterprise? Do you have passion for your work, a commitment to excellence and a desire to support some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in our communities? Could you support us to make positive lasting changes in people’s lives?
Providence Row works with more than a thousand homeless and vulnerably housed people a year in East London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes. Our aim is to ensure that people who are so often excluded from mainstream services gain the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets. Central to our work are our core values of Compassion, Respect, Inclusiveness, Empowerment and Justice. These inform the content, style and delivery of all our services.
Rise Bakery is our award-winning social enterprise specialising in delicious brownies delivered straight to peoples’ doors as well as for wholesale corporate clients. Rise’s business helps to fund the bakery training scheme, training people affected by homelessness for 10 weeks at a time, covering basic bakery skills and building their confidence to help them onto the next step of their journey. In 2020 we will be growing even further with the building of a new training bakery; meaning we can help more people and grow the business further.
