Our Manchester based services consist of a solicitor led legal team providing advice and representation and help at court, an advice support and guidance team that helps people with housing, debt or welfare benefit issues and an advice offer that’s available to clients accessing the Motiv8 programme. Additionally, we provide specialist support services, including Housing First, the Greater Manchester Entrenched Rough Sleepers Service and Inspiring Change Manchester. We also have a committed team of volunteers that offer peer support, mentoring and more general volunteering, thus adding significant value to our core service offer. About the Role
As a Legal Typist, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the legal team’s work, enabling them to maximise their casework hours. On any given day that could involve providing a swift and extremely accurate audio typing service to solicitors, file management including photocopying and filing, processing of key legal paperwork, data entry and diary management. It will also see you prepare and deliver bundles and documents for court.

About you

Your outstanding administrative and organisational skills will be critical to your success in this role. As well as proven audio and copy typing skills, with a minimum speed of 70wpmm and the ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.You’re proactive, creative and commercially aware with great written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working as part of a busy team.
