We are currently implementing training for all our social care staff to embed strength-based approaches and are members of Ripfa; providing every member of staff access to their resources.
We are committed to holding an annual conference for our Social Care staff inviting a range of high-profile speakers to the event to demonstrate our investment in our staff as well as provide time to reflect on and challenge our practice.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and innovative Senior Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care team, South.
The role will involve supervising Social Workers and other relevant staff in relation to casework practice and decision making as well as assisting the Team Manager with day to day management, including deputising when required. Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and skills and experience in Safeguarding; Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decision making is required. You will be expected to hold a small caseload of complex work.
We work closely with our Health provider - North Somerset Community Partnership, Mental Health provider- AWP, Voluntary agencies and continue to look at developing and delivering a partnership approach to service provision. This is an exciting and challenging time for Social Care as we head towards digital age and exploring different ways of working to increase efficiencies.
Along with the Team Manager, the post holder will be involved in supporting the staff through these changes, contributing to the development of protocols and procedures to provide quality services which will benefit the residents of North Somerset.
A degree (or relevant qualification) in Social Work, registration with Social Work England and significant post qualification experience is an essential requirement of this post.
