Salary HBC 7/8 £27905 to £33799 + Market Supplement of £5,014, 3 year market supplement in place – subject to annual review

Halton Trading Standards is looking for 2 x FTE Trading Standards Officers or Trading Standards Enforcement Officers who want to work in a dedicated Trading Standards Team that is not distracted by Primary Authority or other regulatory services work. Applications from part-time officers are welcome.

We are a stand-alone Trading Standards Service within the Public Health Department. Our priorities are Doorstep Crime, Safety, Underage Sales, Scams and IP Crime. We have dedicated Scams Officers and dedicated Consumer Advisors. We have an electronic email alert system called iCAN to warn consumers and local groups of scams, doorstep crime incidents and product recalls.
You will be encouraged to represent the Service at regional focus group meetings, to design projects and develop strong relationships with local partners. We have excellent relationships with our Local Policing Units with pro-active partnership working for both Police and Trading Standards projects and investigations.
