CDS is on a mission! We champion co-op and community-led housing where people design, develop, build or manage their homes themselves. We aim to make this a mainstream option for both rent and home ownership. To that end, we are investing in people and partnerships that can help us make this market fly.
We currently support about 40 co-ops that house more than 2,200 households by providing or overseeing a variety of housing management services and back office administration functions under instruction from our clients. We are also a social landlord, providing housing management to our own residents living in nearly 1,000 properties.
We are looking for a talented individual who is proactive and thrives in a busy environment. You will take ownership of your work and have pride in how you deliver our service. In this fast-paced role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, be meticulous with administrative follow-through and show a good understanding of the legislative requirements for gas safety. You will join our property and compliance team as someone who is customer-focussed and determined to get things right for our customers and clients.
Our company values are to be fair, reliable and act with integrity. These values drive everything we do, and we expect the same from you – meaning you will need to consistently meet expectations.
You will be responsible for smooth running of the statutory gas safety programme, ensuring we maintain 100% compliance. With sharp attention to detail and fantastic recordkeeping you will deliver regular and accurate updates, have the initiative to take action to mitigate risk and the experience to know when to escalate issues.
We’re looking for a dedicated team player with excellent communication skills and an abundance of enthusiasm and ambition that ensures our gas programme runs efficiently. You may not have specific experience in gas compliance, but your proven track record of excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to understand complex legislation and translate it into good practice will set you up for success in this role. If you are a hard-worker who is committed to customers, are a proficient writer and computer user, have an undying positive attitude and can’t help but leave things better than you found them, we really want to hear from you. We are open to teaching the successful candidate how to do the specific and technical aspects of the job.
Apart from the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives by helping them love where they live, this job could be the next – or first – step in a great career. We offer a contributory pension scheme, 28 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a health cash plan and an employee perk system. We take our employee engagement seriously and will invest in your development and training.
