An exciting opportunity has arisen in Occupational Therapy within Integrated Services to work in Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC).

 

This is a Senior Practitioner role which will include managing a customer caseload which consists of specialist and complex assessments for minor and major adaptations, working alongside housing and social care colleagues. You will be assisting the Team Manager in the development of an effective and confident workforce in line with the Directorate’s values and priorities, supervising and creating a positive team ethos, setting an example in all aspects of work to ensure the exemplary reputation of the Council is upheld.

 

Integrated Services operates 11 locality-based teams that provide Assessment and Case Management across all client groups, which include:

·       Older Person & Physical Disability Teams;

·       Occupational Therapy Team

·       Adult Learning Disability Team

·       Preparing for Adulthood

·       Hospital discharge based at the Luton & Dunstable Acute Hospital

 

The service works in close partnership with other health, housing and care services.

You must be a registered and experienced Occupational Therapist and be able to travel around the county independently, able to work in the community covering the Central Bedfordshire region. You will be assessing customers in their homes for adaptations and appropriate recommendations to enable them to stay in their own homes. Promoting independence, with a proactive and enabling approach is our ethos.
