The Regeneration Team is seeking dynamic, highly capable individuals with a strong track record of successful project delivery and who are able to build and maintain excellent relationships to join a fast paced, focused and dedicated team of professionals working together to initiate, and define regeneration opportunities. Secure funding and build a reputation for inward investment, work with service areas to accelerate the delivery of regeneration initiatives, programmes and improvements as well as supporting the creation of sustainable communities.
Candidates should have demonstrable experience within the public and/or private sector and should have a positive, proactive attitude which will help build relationships with colleagues, members of the public and with external stakeholders.
The successful candidates will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong track record of managing regeneration projects, managing and securing funding and delivering effective consultation and resident engagement initiatives, whilst achieving high levels of performance and outcomes.
We are looking for candidates with a robust, delivery focused leadership approach in assuming direct responsibility for the implementation and performance management of regeneration schemes. You will lead and manage the development and delivery of regeneration programmes to deliver the Councils strategic regeneration objectives and build strong and resilient communities. You will lead on developing and managing the working relationships with partners, stakeholders and residents to provide high quality, proactive and professional solution focused management and support, to achieve the agreed outcomes and objectives.
You will be responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling capital projects from inception to completion. You will assume a dynamic, proactive role leading the project team to deliver high quality and value for money projects using effective project management techniques.
The postholder will be required to build, strengthen and maintain relationships with an extensive network of stakeholders and influencers outside the organisation in order to identify develop and capitalise on regeneration opportunities that will benefit the Borough. You will develop close working relationships with colleagues across the council working together to foster a culture of delivery and achievement.
