Project Manager (Housing Repairs Systems Implementation)

Fixed term for initially until 31-3-2021 with the possibility of a further extension.

For an informal discussion, please contact Mo Lawless, Housing Systems Implementation Programme Manager on 01273 295975.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Project Manager to oversee the initial work to scope out the business requirements for replacing our property asset management and our repairs works management IT systems.

If you are an experienced project manager with business analysis skills, excellent communication skills and ideally previous experience of IT system procurement and implementation, then this is an ideal career opportunity.

You’ll be part of our Housing Systems Programme Team, working with colleagues across our service, to ensure that all their system requirements are considered as part of this project.

You would normally be predominantly based at the Housing Centre in Moulsecoomb, but may also work from different locations in the City. Depending on the situation with lockdown, you would initially be working from home. Interviews will be conducted via video and you will be sent details if your application is successful.

Job details

As soon as your job has been approved by the recruitment team your role will be published into redeployment for a period of 1 week (unless you are affected by a period of vacancy controls). Your job will then be posted externally for a 2 week period once redeployment has finished.
If you have specific dates in mind for advertising, please make this clear in the job notes section below.

You also need to put your chosen application method and business case in the notes section. The 4 application methods are listed below:

  1. Application Form & Statement

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit. Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.

Company information

We welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage applicants from a BME or White Other background as well as those who identify as male or trans as these groups are currently under-represented in our Directorate workforce.

As part of Brighton & Hove City Council's ongoing commitment to redeployment, please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any stage of the recruitment process, without prior notice if a suitable redeployee (internal employee at risk of redundancy) is identified.
