School Business Manager

About Impact

Impact is the name of the Secondary Pupil Referral Unit within Sefton. We feel our school name reflects our commitment to inclusion.

Our school aims to engender a sense of community and belonging, and to offer new opportunities to learners who may have experienced previous difficulties by responding to learners in ways which take account of their varied life experiences and needs.

Following a successful Ofsted in January 2020, we are keen to continue our journey to outstanding by taking on the recommendations of our inspectors. The role of SBM will join our newly appointed Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to help our pupils to believe in themselves once more.

About the role

Our governing body and newly appointed Leadership Team is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to take on the role of Business Manager who will be passionate about facilitating the teaching and learning in our ‘good’ school.

This comprehensive role is challenging and rewarding, working with a committed team determined to give the pupils the help and support they need to achieve.

The successful candidate will have a positive, professional attitude towards their work, high levels of integrity, organisational skills and time-management are essential.  This role requires a person with knowledge of the regulatory framework around education and schools as well as a familiarity of working with and supporting staff, parents and students in a positive and friendly manner.

Please see our job description and person specification for further details about the role.

Further Details

We would normally be delighted to show you around our school, but in the current circumstances, please email finance.impact@schools.sefton.gov.uk with your contact details so we can call you back for a chat about the position and to answer any questions you may have.

As we are a dual site school, this position is advertised as being based at our Daleacre Campus in Netherton, however you may be expected to work at both this site and our KS3 base in Formby.

Closing Date – Friday 26th June at 12 noon

Interview Dates – to be scheduled (owing to the current pandemic) but expected to be w/c 6th July 2020
