Are you interested in improving the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities in Hertfordshire?

Hertfordshire’s Integrated Health and Care Commissioning Team are seeking an experienced individual to join their learning disability commissioning team.  The post holder will have responsibility for developing our work to reduce the health inequalities experienced by people with learning disabilities. 

It is desirable, although not essential, that the post holder has previous commissioning or health service experience it is essential that they understand the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities, their families, health and community services in improving health outcomes and life expectancies.

The post holder will work with health, social care and community services, people and families to further implement Hertfordshire’s Big Plan for Learning Disabilities, along with responsibility for  many of the learning disability health improvement work programmes as described in NHS England’s Long-Term Plan.

Covering Hertfordshire on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council, East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group.
