About the role

The Access to Education Service provides individual and small group teaching to students who are out of school. We provide education for students, aged 5-16, many of whom have complex SEN needs and/or challenging behaviour.

We are currently recruiting experienced and creative primary or secondary teachers. There are 3 roles available, on either a full-time or part-time basis (job-share considered) for the right candidates.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a clear focus and is committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Is energetic and innovative in their approach
  • Is able to work flexibly both on their own and as part of a team
  • Has the vision and drive to inspire and support others
  • Is committed to the progress and well-being of all pupils
  • Can engage and build strong effective relationships with all partners and the wider community
  • Can create an environment in which all aspire to achieve.

If you are a qualified teacher with substantial experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, and have excellent IT skills (preferably with knowledge and experience of using a Virtual Learning Environment) we would welcome your application.  Experience of teaching a range of complex SEN is essential. Current pupil needs include SEMH, ASD, ADHD, LD, SLD, MLD and SpLD.

Successful candidates will be expected to travel extensively around the NE Surrey area, including Epsom and Ewell, Spelthorne and Elmbridge. You must therefore have a full driving licence and the use of a car which is insured for work purposes. The NE office is based in Esher.
