About the role
Your role will be:
To manage and supervise all Mechanical & Electrical maintenance and minor project works under the direction of the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Manager.
To ensure that M & E policies, procedures, services, and equipment, within all corporate council property comply with all statutory Mechanical & Electrical legislation, prioritising Health & Safety regulations, fire prevention and protection through robust maintenance and monitoring of both mechanical and electrical safety of building systems at all times, reporting exceptions found to the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Manager.
To manage and monitor all Mechanical & Electrical term maintenance contracts and reactive maintenance of all buildings’ Mechanical & Electrical plant, equipment and systems within numerous and varied designated operational buildings.
To check and maximise the operating efficiency of installed plant and systems, ensure compliance with current related legislation and ensure an accurate asset list is maintained and recorded as well as the production and maintenance of suitable and robust maintenance records.
Deal efficiently and swiftly with reactive mechanical and electrical issues occurring within all council buildings while ensuring optimum customer service and satisfaction levels are achieved.
To manage larger projects, for other council departments, under the direction of the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Manager in order to increase revenue for the Building Services department.
Ensure best practice is adopted for all services, contracts and works undertaken.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
