Site Maintenance Officer, Grade 5, AAAD5005, £19,171 PA

Woodlands Governing Body wish to appoint a Site Maintenance Officer to join our hardworking, friendly and committed team.  The candidate should possess good communication and organisational skills, and have a sense of humour.  They should have a good knowledge of health and safety, be proactive and have good eye for detail.  Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of working in a school.  A knowledge of basic DIY, particularly plumbing, would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will need a range of skills to ensure the efficient maintenance of our two buildings and large site.  The role will involve supervision of a SMO colleague and a lovely team of cleaning staff.

Briefly, the role will include opening/closing the school premises each day, maintaining health and safety standards, carrying out minor repairs including minor building projects, cleaning duties, general maintenance, decorating, liaising with contractors, ordering supplies and gardening.  This post is a key holder position and therefore there is a requirement to attend some alarm call outs or emergency call outs.
