Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprentice
National Minimum Wage (£12,443 - £16,823 FTE per annum)
Fixed Term until 31st March 2022
We are inviting applications from an enthusiastic, innovative and motivated individual who would like to work within the multi-disciplined Regulation and Enforcement Service. This is an opportunity to work for an authority who have responsibility for a full range of enforcement duties both inland and at the border in teams that are essential in protecting the public while promoting economic growth to provide a safer and stronger community.
North East Lincolnshire has easy access to the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and excellent affordable housing. About the role:
This is an exciting new role requiring a hardworking, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to combine study with work placements in the specialist areas. In return we will provide you with an opportunity to gain an insight into local government regulatory services whilst undertaking the Level 4 Apprenticeship in Regulatory Compliance.
You will work across all three regulatory teams, supporting officers and building experience in responding to regulatory compliance issues across the borough. We will provide opportunities to be involved in a range of workplace activities aligned to the competency requirements of the Apprenticeship.
The role is based within Regulation and Environmental Services, a multi-disciplined area that cover Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing functions. This covers an extensive range of legislation aimed at protecting the public whilst supporting local businesses and ensuring a level legal playing field for businesses to operate in.
You should have:-
- GCSE Grades A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English plus
- 3 A Levels or equivalent (one of which must be in a science subject); or
- previous experience in an enforcement role.
