Restorative Practice Worker - Youth Offending Service

Central Youth Team is looking to recruit an experienced Restorative Practice Worker to work in its multi-agency team. We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful team and to provide advice and support to victims of crime and their families and provide feedback to case managers working with young offenders to raise their awareness of the harm caused by their offending behaviour.

As a victim worker you will be responsible for contacting and liaising with victims of youth crime, working directly with victims, maintaining detailed and accurate records and preparing written reports to assist with risk assessments and as part of the Youth offending service case management system .

You will undertake meetings and assessments with victims of crime in accordance with current policies and procedures. Provide information, advice and support to victims in order to allow for participation in any restorative process at a level of their choice.

You must have experience of direct work with victims of crime, in a statutory, voluntary or community setting and experience of mediation and conflict resolution.
