Hours:                                   37  hours per week

Contract:                              Fixed term for up to 12 months

A High Needs Funding Support Officer is required to work within the Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team.  The post holder will be expected to monitor the use of Top Up Funding (TUF) and other funding in educational settings and to share good practice. They will also monitor and review the new ASD resource bases and offer support and guidance where appropriate and conduct a formal review of Alternative providers in relation to checking all policies, outcomes for individual learners, and ensuring value for money.

The successful candidate will work with educational settings to ensure that they can evidence that allocated funding is being used to best effect. The post holder will identify whether there have been any changes to the level of need of individual pupils and if funding should continue at the allocated level. This will be in liaison with headteachers and/or SENCOs, business/finance managers and SEND Team Managers.

This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
