In this exciting new role, you will develop an efficient, sustainable and responsive adult learning offer, which utilises the council’s adult education budget to meet local economic and social priorities and the current and emerging needs of the city’s learners.

 

 

About the role

The council has a direct contract with the Education and Skills Funding Agency for adult education. Responsibility for adult learning sits within the Education and Skills Team, Families, Children and Learning Directorate. This role will be based in Hove Town Hall, although currently the team are working from home.

The councils adult learning offer must complement the relevant council strategies relating to education and skills. These include the City Employment and Skills Plan and Economic Strategy.

The council’s adult and community learning service was rated Good by Ofsted in February 2020.

You will have experience of developing and managing a successful and agile adult learning service.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
