We’re looking for an ambitious individual who is passionate about our cause and looking to develop a career in project management, to join us as a Project Management Executive and play a vital role at the heart of our award-winning Income Generation team.

About the role

This particular role sits within our Planning & Improvement Team. Part of our Income Generation Directorate, and relatively new, Planning & Improvement is the glue that binds together all income generation campaigns, appeals, activities and products. Your main focus will be to help deliver one of our main fundraising moments – the Winter Fundraising campaign. A key income generator for Shelter, it brings together many departments and touches nearly everyone in the organisation. It also consists of a broad range of public facing activity, including an advertising campaign, direct marketing fundraising appeal and various events and corporate partner activation, all supported by press and social media. Along the way, you’ll get to learn more about project management tools and processes, run projects from start to finish, work with a range of stakeholders and provide much needed admin and finance management support. In short, it will be a really great learning ground.

About you
You’ll need to be proactive, well-organised, never happier than when busy and genuinely keen to learn. Someone who craves responsibility and enjoys building positive relationships with lots of different people, some experience of managing projects would be useful, as would knowledge of project management methodologies and processes. A great time manager who is comfortable working on a diverse range of tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, you’re creative, innovative, customer focused and willing to challenge the status quo and suggest new ideas when appropriate.
