Educational Psychologist

The Wokingham EPS provides evidence based psychological services to children and young people resident in the borough. We operate a Link EP consultation model of service delivery to help build relationships and offer early intervention. We are committed to the active participation of children and families. We are at the forefront of developments to support childrens' mental health and lead the MHST. We deliver a range of training and work closely with partner agencies and stakeholders. 
 
Wokingham Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is recruiting four full-time Educational Psychologists from September 2021 (or sooner). Wokingham has a reputation for excellence and high achievement in schools. The EPS is a small friendly team that is always seeking to improve. We have a well-established consultative model of service delivery that values the application of psychology, innovative practice and professional integrity. We are committed to working in partnership with families, colleagues and other stakeholders. 
 
The EPS supports the LA in fulfilling its statutory duties in relation to SEND legislation. EPS has a key role in developing and delivering training to education colleagues and other stakeholders. We lead the Mental Health Support Team and are excited about our role in supporting the LA and others to meet the needs of children and young people who present with mental health needs. As a service we strive to ensure that all our colleagues undertake a range of work and welcome applications from colleagues who have or wish to develop specialist interests. 
 
Applications are invited from qualified Educational Psychologists or those who will complete their professional training by September 2021 – Who are registered with the Health and Care Professional’s Council and whose qualifications as an Educational Psychologist are recognised by the British Psychological Society.
