Teacher (MPS)

Due to the expansion and increased number of pupils we wish to appoint an additional Year 5 class teacher. This is a full time temporary MPS1 or MPS2 post until August 2021. Closing date is Friday 2nd October 12.00 noon.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and inspirational class teacher who values children. You must have high expectations of children’s achievements and behaviour.

It is essential to have a clear understanding of expected outcomes, a commitment to maintaining exemplary standards and be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. The successful candidate will join our hardworking and highly motivated team at this exciting time of growth.

We can offer an environment where staff and parents work collaboratively towards achieving an exciting and inclusive school for our pupils. Applications from NQTs are welcome.

Unfortunately visits to school, prior to application, are not available due to Covid-19 restrictions. More school information is available on our website http://www.winningtonpark.cheshire.sch.uk/

We are an expanding school and our numbers have increased significantly over the last few years due to a new housing development close by. We are a two form entry school and have a new KS2 building of 8 additional classrooms and a new hall.

We had an Ofsted inspection in 2019 and the inspector judged us as ‘Good’ and potentially ‘Outstanding’; we are therefore waiting for Section 5 Ofsted visit when inspection resume.

The school is a happy place to learn and work. We have an exciting and engaging curriculum that prepares children for a diverse world. We focus very much on respect for ourselves and each other. There is support for all attainers and all talents and we aim to fulfil everyone’s potential. There are high expectations for all children, staff and parents to engage in our values of; Aspire, Respect, Kind, Safe, Trust, Proud.

Behaviour is good. Children are expected to behave well and show respect. Strategies to support pupils behave well and consequences when they don’t are in place. We have a nurturing ethos with two ELSA TAs and a Nurture/Sensory Room. We were awarded Attachment Friendly Schools Award 2019. We also have Inclusion and Safeguarding Quality Marks.

The successful candidate will be subject to stringent vetting and enhanced DBS procedures.
