Teacher in Charge, Language & Literacy Resource
Full time – 32.5 hours a week
From January 2021

An exciting opportunity to make a difference to pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties in literacy and work alongside colleagues in schools and the Local Authority, the Language and Literacy Resource (LAL) provides part time provision for pupils with Specific Learning Difficulties and the Teacher in Charge is responsible for managing the LAL provision and teaching small groups of pupils.

The aims of the LAL Resource are:
• to provide individual literacy programmes for pupils
• to promote awareness for each pupil of their own strengths, weaknesses and learning strategies
• to enhance pupils’ self esteem
• to work in partnership with schools and class teachers to ensure effective teaching and support for pupils.

You must be an experienced teacher and hold a SpLD or Dyslexia qualification (with Assessment Practising Certificate).
