Job Title: Team Leader – HWRC Waste Management
Salary Range: £49,866 pa to £53,042 p.a.
Hours: 37 per week, Full time
This is an exciting opportunity to work in Hertfordshire County Council’s Waste Management Unit which is responsible for delivering the statutory functions of the Waste Disposal Authority for Hertfordshire including the provision of the Recycling Centre service and the treatment/disposal of Local Authority Collected Waste.
This role offers a chance to work in a rapidly changing sector with exciting, forward-thinking developments. It is a dynamic area of work with opportunities to lead on and contribute to a wide range of projects including those that are designed to transfer, dispose and recycle Hertfordshire's waste.
Specifically, the role offers the opportunity to shape and lead the direct delivery of the Recycling Centre service across Hertfordshire, ensuring compliance, safe operation and driving improvements in performance. The candidate will motivate and lead a large workforce and maximise reuse activity whilst working to design a network of centres that is fit for purpose and can accommodate further housing growth demands in Hertfordshire.
With well-developed leadership skills, experience of direct line management and local authority waste services you will have the ability to manage a team to deliver a diverse workload with multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
