We are now recruiting a part time (0.5) Bereavement Support Project Practitioner on a fixed 3-year term contract to work with children and young people after suicide across the Sussex area.

About the role
The successful candidate will provide structured bereavement support directly to children and young people through a range of channels including remote, digital and face to face from our offices, community venues and (when appropriate or required) through home visits across the UK. The post holder will set up and run a digital support group and will be responsible for maintaining records and data relating to the service.
All applicants will have a relevant professional qualification in working with children and young people – for example: counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, education, social work or health and at least three years’ experience and knowledge of working with and providing services to children, young people and families. We also welcome applicants with previous experience of working in bereavement/palliative care. Previous experience of childhood bereavement is desirable, however, we are more interested in your ability and commitment to engage and work with children, families and other professionals.
You should be enthusiastic about working as part of a dynamic and creative team and you will have excellent interpersonal skills, especially in communicating with children
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
