As a Neighbourhood Advisor – Operations you will provide a rapid response to customers, preventing issues from happening in the first place, and intervening early when they do arise to prevent escalation this will mean resolving issues on the ground and supporting customers to self-serve and resolve issues themselves.
You will provide a (low level) fixing and maintenance service across Lewes District and Eastbourne Borough and housing estates e.g. removing graffiti or obstacles, undertaking minor repairs, overseeing small works, making areas safe and supporting the Neighbourhood First team when a vehicle or tools are required e.g. to transport heavier equipment.
Each day will be very different one day you may be undertaking sampling and using disinfection treatments required to maintain public health the next day you could be undertaking control of nuisance pests.
You will also undertake a range of inspections and monitoring activities, including empty property and playground inspections; maintaining standards and income in all council run car parks and carry out a range of work including patrols in all weathers, reporting issues as required and undertaking enforcement activities.
Working as part of an effective team across Lewes District and/ or Eastbourne ensuring a responsive customer journey using mobile technology to report issues and pick up tasks. You will need to be proactive, self-motivated and well organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and will have a strong commitment to providing service excellence.
This is a mobile role which can be undertaken remotely at a variety of locations; to carry out these duties you will be provided with a Council van therefore it is essential that you have a full, current driving licence.
It would be an advantage if you have a qualification or accreditation as an Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber or other relevant building trade or hold a pest control qualification (RSPH/BCPA)
