Head of Assets - Compliance

Are you an inspirational leader? Are you able to motivate your team to achieve targets? Are you confident in working with key stakeholders on all compliance matters?

We think you can do all these and more…. What do you think?

We want to provide good quality housing to those who otherwise couldn’t afford it. We are inspired by the impact we can have and are passionate about creating a better London.

Our Building Safety Division ensures NHG is robust in terms of regulatory and legislative compliance and supports the organisation to continuously improve. Compliance is a key part of the resident promise and instrumental in delivering the improvements we’ve committed to.

The Head of Building Safety - Compliance will lead the team to achieve our business plan target of 100% compliance with data we can trust for all our compliance areas – Fire Safety, Heating and Water Hygiene, Electrical and Mechanical and Electrical. You will have a passion for building relationships and this will mean working with others across NHG to ensure that our residents are able to easily access information about the safety of their home, and that your team is equipped to answer residents’ questions about safety related matters.

The role will be focused on reducing the overhead costs for managing the service by introducing system and process improvements and implementing a digital first approach.

You will strategically lead on all compliance matters and drive improvements in our service by organising and leading your team to deliver compliance services to all the NHG directorates.

You’ll need skills and experience in people management, excellent technical knowledge of compliance and experience of leadership at a senior level – including excellent communication, data and risk management skills.

We believe this role will be a positive challenge; one in which you can apply your ability to innovate, adapt, implement change and deliver added value to the Compliance team and to NHG as a whole.

Please have a look at the attached role profile, and if this is the role for you, we would love to hear from you. If you would like a confidential chat, please contact Andy MacKay – Building Safety Director at

Applications for this role close at 12pm on Monday 19th October. Short listed candidates will be invited to interview and assessments for Friday 30th October.
