Hartford Primary School are recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant, with the capability to provide class cover.
This is a Grade 6 Teaching Assistant role, working 25 hours a week, term time only. The hours will be all day Monday to Wednesday, plus Thursday and Friday mornings.
The individual needs to be a strong team player, enthusiastic, patient, flexible and passionate about not only working with children, but helping them be the best they can be. They will be working in our lower KS2 classes, specifically Year 3, but experience of both KS1 and KS2 would be an advantage. The role will involve working with a diverse set of children, so experience of SEN would also be desirable. NVQ Level 2 is essential, level 3 is desirable.

The main duties of the role are:
- Assist and support the teacher in delivery of learning activities and all resources required
- Help pupils develop skills in all subject areas
- Help care for pupils individually and as a group
- Communicate effectively with all staff
We would expect the individual to have:
- GCSE Math and English (or equivalent) at Grade C+
- Competent IT Skills
- Knowledge of phonics, letters and sound formation
- Excellent personal and communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently recording children’s progress
