Midday Assistant (Casual Contract)

We are currently seeking casual staff to work as Midday assistants to cover holidays and absences and additional cover as and when required, throughout the year. These roles are on a casual basis and successful candidates will be part of a pool of staff we would call upon to work as and when needed.    

Successful candidates will be willing to effectively supervise pupils during the lunch period, providing a continuous presence. To ensure the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils in accordance with school policy. To deal promptly with minor incidents, e.g. cleaning up food, body spillages and first aid.

It is essential that you have a flexible approach, a high degree of motivation and be fully committed to working in a school environment.

Coppermill Primary school is a one-form entry primary school with a total of 300 pupils on roll with additional classes in Year 3. We have our own Nursery which offers mornings, afternoons and all day places.

The school is located in a community that is culturally diverse; the school population consists of 23 different ethnicities and benefits from 22 languages spoken by pupils at our school. We pride ourselves as a harmonious community with high expectations and aspirations for all our pupils.
