Job Duties:

Hertfordshire Equipment Service (HES) is jointly funded by HCC and the NHS to provide items of equipment to enable residents to live more independently at home. This can range from small items such as perching stools to more complex items such as specialist beds and mattresses to allow for nursing care at home.

We are looking to recruit an experienced supervisor who will be responsible for the support and development of their allocated staff to enable them to effectively carry out their work. The successful candidates will also be responsible for the Performance Management, training and development of their staff and undertake regular one-to-one meetings in line with the HCC Supervision policy. The successful applicant will be able to work flexibly and within a fast- paced environment geared to meet the needs of Hertfordshire’s hospital discharge teams.

The Operations Officer will report to the Operations Team Leader and be responsible for a team of Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians and associated temporary workers. We are looking for a team player with good communication skills, who can develop and motivate their team and understands the importance of working closely with other teams within the service. The successful applicant will have the ability to work under pressure and problem solve daily.

The posts play a key role in supporting the HES Urgent Needs Service and Maintaining Independence service with the aim of ensuring we meet and improve on our operational key performance indicators.
